A Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI) is a document that provides instructions to the freight forwarder or carrier for the transportation of goods. The SLI typically includes information such as the shipper’s name and address, the consignee’s name and address, the description of the goods being shipped, the weight and dimensions of the goods, the shipping method, and any special instructions or requirements.
