What is Master Bill of Lading (MBOL)?

A Master Bill of Lading (MBOL) is a document used in ocean shipping that serves as a contract of carriage between the shipper and the carrier. The MBOL is issued by the carrier and contains information about the shipment, including the name and address of the shipper and the consignee, the weight and dimensions of the cargo, and the intended destination. The MBOL is used to track shipments and to provide information to customs authorities and other parties involved in the transportation process.
