What is Order Bill of Lading?

An Order Bill of Lading is a type of bill of lading that allows the holder of the document to take delivery of the goods described in the bill. Unlike a straight bill of lading, which is non-negotiable and requires delivery to a named consignee, an order bill of lading can be transferred to a third party who can take delivery of the goods.
