Certificate of Weight

A Certificate of Weight (COW) is a document that certifies the weight of a shipment. In shipping, a COW is often used to provide assurance to the buyer that the weight of the products being shipped has been accurately measured and recorded. 

A COW typically includes information about the weight of the shipment, such as the gross weight, net weight, and tare weight. It may also include information about the weighing method used, the date of weighing, and the name and signature of the person who performed the weighing. 

COWs are commonly used in the shipping of goods where weight is a critical factor, such as in the shipping of bulk commodities or heavy equipment. They provide a standardized method for verifying the weight of a shipment and can help to prevent disputes overweight measurements.
