What is a Certificate of Analysis?

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document that provides detailed information about the quality and composition of a product. In shipping, a COA is typically used to provide assurance to the buyer that the products being shipped meet certain quality standards and specifications.

A COA typically includes information about the product’s physical and chemical properties, such as its composition, purity, strength, and identity. It may also include information about any contaminants or impurities that may be present, as well as any specific tests or methods used to analyze the product.

COAs are commonly used in the shipping of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and other products where quality and safety are critical. They provide a standardized method for verifying that a product meets specific quality standards and can help to prevent the shipment of defective or unsafe products.
