Charges assessed by service providers for logistics-related services.

What's a Third-Party Related Tariff?

A third-party related tariff involves assessing charges or tariffs by a third-party entity that is not directly involved in the transportation of goods but plays a role in facilitating or managing certain aspects of the logistics process.

In logistics, third-party entities can include various service providers, such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, warehouse operators, or logistics intermediaries. These entities often provide specialized services essential for the smooth flow of goods but not part of the primary transportation process. Thus, third-party related tariffs involve assessing fees or charges by these third-party entities for their services. These charges are often standardized and specified in contracts or agreements between the logistics service provider and the shipper or consignee.
