What is the Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU)?

A Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU) is a standard unit of measurement used in shipping to quantify the size or capacity of cargo containers. One TEU is equal to a container that is 20 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 8 feet tall. TEUs are used to calculate shipping rates, as well as to track and monitor cargo shipments.
