A Measurement Ton is a unit of measurement used in shipping to calculate the volume of cargo or freight. A Measurement Ton is equal to 40 cubic feet or one cubic meter of cargo, whichever is greater. This unit of measurement is used to calculate the space required to transport a shipment and is often used in the pricing of ocean freight.
