What is a Lash Vessel?
A LASH vessel is a type of specialized cargo ship designed to carry Lighter Aboard Ship (LASH) barges. These barges are loaded with cargo, which is then transported to the LASH vessel for shipment to the destination port. The LASH system allows for the transportation of large quantities of cargo and is particularly useful for transporting bulk commodities or oversized items that cannot be easily loaded onto traditional cargo ships.
