What does Container Freight Station Cut-Off mean?

The Container Freight Station (CFS) Cut-Off is the deadline or specific time by which cargo must be delivered to the container freight station for loading into a container. The CFS is a facility where cargo is consolidated, deconsolidated, and sometimes temporarily stored for further transportation. Shippers or freight forwarders must deliver their goods to the CFS before the cut-off time to ensure that the cargo can be loaded onto the intended container and included in the scheduled shipment. Meeting the CFS cut-off is crucial to avoid delays in the transportation process.
