What does Cube Utilization mean?

Cube utilization in shipping refers to the percentage of available space in a shipping container or trailer that is actually used to transport cargo. It is a measure of how efficiently the space in the container or trailer is being utilized and is calculated by dividing the total volume of the cargo by the total volume of the container or trailer.

For example, if a shipping container has a total volume of 60 cubic meters and the cargo being transported takes up 45 cubic meters of space, the cube utilization would be 75% (45/60 x 100). This means that 75% of the available space in the container is being used to transport cargo, while the remaining 25% is empty.
