What does Free Carrier (FCA) mean?

Free Carrier (FCA) is a trade term used in shipping contracts that specifies the point at which the responsibility for the goods is transferred from the seller to the buyer. In an FCA agreement, the seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specified location, and the buyer is responsible for arranging transportation from that location to the final destination. The FCA term can be used for any mode of transport and can apply to both domestic and international shipments.
