Who is a General Sales Agent (GSA)?

A General Sales Agent (GSA) is a third-party company that is authorized to sell and market the services of an airline or shipping company in a particular region or market. They act as a local representative of the carrier and are responsible for promoting its services, securing bookings, and handling customer inquiries.

GSAs play an important role in the shipping industry because they help carriers to expand their reach into new markets without having to invest in their own sales and marketing infrastructure. They also provide local expertise and support, helping to ensure that the carrier’s services are tailored to the needs of the region or market they serve.
