What does Honeycombing mean?

Honeycombing is a term used in the shipping industry to describe the practice of leaving empty spaces or gaps in cargo loads. This can occur when cargo is not properly stacked or secured, or when there are gaps between individual packages or containers.

Honeycombing can be a problem in the shipping industry, as it can lead to wasted space and inefficient use of shipping capacity. It can also increase the risk of damage to cargo, as items may shift or become damaged when there are gaps or empty spaces in the load.
