What is a Warehouse Control System (WCS)?

A Warehouse Control System (WCS) is a software system used to manage and automate operations within a warehouse or distribution center. This system provides real-time control and monitoring of various material handling equipment such as conveyors, sorters, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) and pick and place robots.

The WCS also helps in optimizing inventory and space utilization, reducing labor costs, and improving order fulfillment accuracy and speed.
