What is Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU)?

Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) is an international trade term that specifies that the seller is responsible for delivering the goods to the buyer’s named place of destination but is not responsible for paying any duties or taxes associated with the importation of the goods into the buyer’s country. The buyer assumes responsibility for all costs and risks associated with the importation of the goods, including customs clearance, duties and taxes. 

 

The seller is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or licenses for the exportation of the goods, and for ensuring that the goods are delivered in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The buyer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or licenses for the importation of the goods, and for paying any duties or taxes associated with the importation.
