What is a Concentration Point?

In shipping, a concentration point is a location where cargo is consolidated or combined from different sources or origins for onward transport to a common destination.

Concentration points are often used in transportation networks to optimize the use of shipping capacity, reduce transportation costs, and improve efficiency. By consolidating cargo from multiple sources at a single location, carriers can achieve economies of scale and reduce the number of individual shipments required to move the same volume of goods.
