What does Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) mean?

Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) refers to a regulation that requires products to be labeled with the country where they were produced or manufactured. This labeling requirement provides consumers with information about the origin of the product they are purchasing.

In the context of shipping, COOL labeling applies to goods that are imported into a country and are intended for sale to consumers. The labeling requirement typically applies to food products, such as meat, fish, and fresh produce, but it may also apply to other products such as textiles, electronics, and automobiles.
