What is a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU)?

A Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is a unique identifier used to track individual products in a retail store or warehouse. The SKU is typically an alphanumeric code assigned to each product and is used to identify it in a database or inventory system.

SKUs are used to keep track of product characteristics, pricing and other information, and can be used to help manage inventory, optimize supply chain operations, and improve customer service.
