What is Outbound Logistics?

Outbound logistics is the process of managing the storage and movement of goods from the point of production to the point of sale. It is the opposite of inbound logistics which involves managing the flow of goods and materials from vendors to warehouses.  

 

Outbound logistics includes activities like packaging, storage, order fulfillment, delivery, customer service and returns management.
