What is Loading Port?

A loading port is a port or harbor where goods are loaded onto ships for transport. It is usually the same port as the departure port, however, in some cases, goods may be loaded at a different port and then transshipped to the departure port.

The loading port is typically the first point of contact for goods being shipped internationally.
