What is Intermodal Transportation?

Intermodal transportation is the transportation of goods using multiple modes of transport, such as truck, rail, air, ship, or any combination thereof. It is a form of cargo transport that combines multiple modes of transportation to move goods from origin to destination.

This type of transportation may be used when there are significant distances between origin and destination, and when a single mode of transport is not suitable for the entire journey.
