What is Exporter of Record (EOR)?

Exporter of Record (EOR) is a legal term used to describe the person or company that is responsible for the export of goods from one country to another.  

 

The exporter of record is the person or company that is legally responsible for the accuracy of all export documents, including the commercial invoice, packing list, and shipper’s export declaration. The EOR is also responsible for ensuring that all applicable export laws and regulations are followed.
