What is bonded warehousing?
A bonded warehouse is a storage facility that is highly regulated by customs. Here, the imported products are stored that have yet to be processed by the customs authority. These storage facilities are also known as duty-free zones.
The goods stored in these facilities do not have any customs duties payable unless they are delivered to their final destination. The bonded warehouses can be government or private-firm owned.
