A pricing technique to calculate shipping rates per package; including dimensional and actual weight.

What is billable weight and how it is calculated?

Billable Weight refers to the idea of charging customers for the physical weight of the product they are buying, as opposed to charging by the size or volume.  

 

The billable weight for any shipment is calculated using the following formula: 

                            Billable Weight= length x height x weight/ DIM Divisor 

*DIM Divisor = A number set by the carriers to represent the cubic inches per pound.
