What does Delivered at Place Mean?

Delivered At Place, or DAP, is one of the 11 standard trade terms defined by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in the Incoterms rules, specifically under Incoterms 2020. DAP represents an agreement between a buyer and a seller regarding the delivery of goods to a specific place, typically the buyer’s premises or another designated location.

DAP signifies that the seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specific place or location, often the buyer’s premises or another mutually agreed-upon destination.

The seller must provide the buyer with the necessary documentation, including the invoice, packing list, and any other documents required for customs clearance, importation, and acceptance of the goods.
