What is Truckload (TL)?

In shipping, a truckload (TL) refers to a shipment that is large enough to fill an entire truck trailer. Typically, truckload shipments are transported over long distances, and are used for bulky or heavy items that require a dedicated trailer for transport. Truckload shipments can be more cost-effective than smaller shipments, as they can be combined with other cargo to maximize space utilization.
