What does Storage-in-Transit mean?

Storage-in-Transit refers to a service offered by carriers or third-party logistics providers that allows goods to be temporarily stored at a warehouse or other facility during transit. This service is often used when there is a delay in the shipment schedule or when the recipient of the goods is not ready to receive them.
