What is an Order Backlog?

An Order Backlog is the number of orders a company has received but has not yet fulfilled. It represents the total amount of work the company has to do in order to satisfy all of its outstanding customer orders. A backlog can be a positive sign for a company as it indicates strong demand for its products, but it can also be a challenge if the company does not have the resources or capacity to fulfill the orders in a timely manner.
