What is Ocean freight?

Ocean freight is a term used to describe the transportation of goods by sea. This mode of transport is often used for international trade, as it allows for large volumes of goods to be transported over long distances at a relatively low cost. Ocean freight can be classified as either full container load (FCL), where a single shipper fills an entire container, or less than container load (LCL), where multiple shippers share a container. The cost of ocean freight is typically calculated based on the weight and volume of the cargo, as well as the distance traveled and any special handling requirements.
