What is Last Change Date?

Last Change Date (LCD) is a term used in the shipping industry to refer to the date by which a shipping container’s contents can be modified or changed. Once the LCD has passed, any changes to the container’s contents will be subject to additional fees and delays. The LCD is typically set by the shipping company or carrier and is designed to ensure that all necessary customs and security checks are completed before the container is loaded onto a vessel for transport.
