What is End-of-Life (EOL)?

End-of-Life (EOL) is a term used in the shipping industry to describe the point at which a product or piece of equipment is no longer viable for use or repair. This can occur when the product or equipment has reached the end of its useful life or when newer technology or equipment has made it obsolete. EOL products or equipment may be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
