Specifications of Heavy Cargo

Heavy cargo, defined as any single piece of freight weighing 150 kilograms (330 pounds) or more, represents a specialized and challenging aspect of logistics and transportation. Transporting heavy cargo necessitates the use of specialized equipment such as heavy-duty trucks, forklifts, cranes, and lifting gear. These tools are essential for loading and unloading heavy items safely.

Heavy machinery, equipment, and industrial components, such as turbines, generators, and construction machinery, often fall into the heavy cargo category. Also, components for aircraft, including engines and large structural elements, are heavy cargo. Likewise, equipment for the energy industry, such as transformers, generators, and wind turbine components, often exceed the 150-kilogram threshold and require specialized logistics.
