Heavy/Awkward Lifts Explained

Heavy Lift and Awkward Lifts are terms commonly used in logistics and industrial settings to describe the handling and transportation of exceptionally heavy or challenging loads.

Heavy lifting refers to the transportation of items that exceed typical weight limits. These loads can include machinery, equipment, construction materials, or industrial components.

Awkward lifts, on the other hand, involve objects that are not only heavy but also possess unusual shapes or dimensions that make them challenging to handle. Examples include oversized machinery, irregularly shaped components, or delicate yet hefty cargo.

Both heavy and awkward lifts demand strict adherence to safety protocols. This includes employee training, load calculation, risk assessment, and continuous monitoring during the lifting process.
