The relationship between Extended Room Temperature and Product Security

Extended room temperature, typically defined as a temperature range of +2°C to +25°C, is a critical parameter in the movement and storage of temperature-sensitive products, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and certain chemicals.

The +2°C to +25°C temperature range is chosen because it ensures that products sensitive to temperature variations remain within a controlled environment. Temperatures outside this range can lead to product degradation, loss of potency, or even safety concerns. Also, staying within this range allows for a degree of flexibility compared to strict cold chain (refrigerated) or controlled room temperature storage requirements. It accommodates products that can tolerate slight temperature fluctuations but still need protection from extreme conditions.
