What does Receipt of Goods (ROG) mean?

Receipt of Goods (ROG) is a term used in logistics and supply chain management that refers to the delivery of goods to the consignee or recipient. It marks the official handover of the goods from the carrier or shipper to the consignee. The consignee must check the goods for any damage or discrepancy with the delivery order or bill of lading before accepting the shipment. Once the consignee has signed for the goods and has accepted them, the responsibility for the goods passes from the carrier to the consignee.
